Damson update 🌱

Raspberries in my hand, they have few and large sections (?) and fall apart, variety is Autumn Treasure.

Our five year old raspberry bed, I read the book on raspberries and tried everything but the berries are still crumbly, other people have much older plants that are doing fine.

Welp, crumbly raspberries that fall to bits, this happened last year too, the plants are only five years old. I thinned, fed and watered them, but no improvement.
I guess I’ll just have to give up on them, I’ve already planted new ones at the other of the allotment, I hope they last longer.🌱

Looking south towards a Shalott rose about 6’ tall and maybe 4’ wide. More of the apricot honey colored roses are starting to bloom. Fence to the left. Birch tree behind with sunlight fingers.

Second flush begins. This is year 3 in the ground and starting to become a beast.

But I walked around the corner this morning and the sunlight made me stop.

Which was good for me today… it’s good to stop. Stop the busy. Stop the hustle. Take a breath.

You have taken such good care of your garden that I am sure its beauty will exceed everyone's expectations
