I wish I could’ve done that. I wasn’t allowed to “ditch the family”. I had to be present when family was there at all times. Ours usually ended up with my mother and I in a knock down, drag out, ugly argument. If I was smart, I would’ve hidden in the bathroom 😒

Pretty close to how dysfunctional my family is. That was quite the triggering episode. Ask my mother her opinion and she’d tell you I’m crazy and exaggerating to the extreme (then we’d get into a yelling match about it)

So apparently, the source matters when you look at the 2025 holiday retail forecast. The NRF is cherry picking total dollars, which doesn’t equate to more sales. It can simply mean less items that are way more expensive now. Everyone else thinks it looks not great.
