Thank you!! The base of the duck is wheel thrown and I would add coiled clay on top if I wasn’t happy with the shape or height!

It’s difficult to create when the imposter syndrome hits and you’re being hard on yourself. I hope you’re able to get out of your creative funk and add more whimsy to this world with your work! (We need it!!) I would love to see your first work of the year once it’s ready to be seen and admired 🥹

It truly is!! I lost an entire batch because of crazing + glaze bloating and almost wanted to quit. It was so discouraging and I was really hard on myself! I hope you’re doing better these days and have found your way back to ceramics!

There’s also a pinhole inside the jar so I wouldn’t recommend storing food items in there unless it’s packaged ^^

Unfinished and unglazed ceramic cat-fish mug. The lower half of the mug is round with the face details of a cat and the top half of the mug is a fish with carved details as the scales of the fish.

I lost an entire batch a while ago and almost wanted to quit, but I’m still here and currently making a cat-fish mug!!

Also doesn’t help when ceramic pieces don’t come out the way that you want and there are cracks and glaze flaws over and over again…ceramics can be very humbling and disheartening

Thank you 😭 I’ve been doing better these days (maybe because we’re finally getting some sun and warmth these days?!) and slowly finding motivation and joy in my work again!
