I'm considering opening up commissions even though I've never done something like that before.

This whole segment is to set the groundwork for how I feel about Fruits Basket as a series, not even exclusively this adaptation. So hopefully when I get to talking about the remake, it won't be anywhere near as long as this entry was.

I apologise for disappearing for a month straight, I hit another road block in my writing process that needed some time to overcome, but here's my full take on the 2001 series, positives and negatives.

After a shit ton of peer pressure, I finally sat down to watch Fruits Basket....the OG, not the remake. I've been meaning to give this a look for a while but since I had everything thrown at me, I never got the time to do so. Some people don't understand that but that's a story for another time.

Hey again. Sorry for not updating this for a month now, I had come down with severe writer's block. Now I'm back in the swing of things so let's get caught up before March, why don't we?

First, let me conclude this segment because I feel like elaboration is required.

This next one was a part of a Screen Unseen event that my local cinema does, where they'll play a film that is out in a few days, but you don't know what it is until it starts. I wanted to wait until it was out properly before talking about it so I can give everyone a chance to watch it.

Because yes, I've already talked about this film in the 2024 Media Thread, and it wasn't that long ago either. I'll be honest, I probably could add more onto it but I'm not going to trouble myself, read what I wrote before if you want my opinions on the film.

Shortly after I wrapped up Arcane, I got roped into streaming The Menu, this time in a VC full of people who didn't know what it was.

I don't want to get into how that session went for reasons that'll get me in trouble, nor do I want to add any more than I already have in the 2024 thread.

Oh hey would you look at that, I managed to get one of my contracts finished before the end of January, isn't that neat? I figured I would've gotten one of the movie contracts done first but nevermind, I guess we're starting off strong. Let's see if I can actually get all of these done before 2026.

This is one of, if not the longest segment I've written up for any of the threads. The only entries I think come anywhere as close is FF7Rebirth, Astro Bot and maybe The Green Mile. I don't know if my write up for Season 2 will be anywhere near as long as this, so we'll see how that goes.

Well this was a long time coming, wasn't it? As someone who has avoided this show for the past three years due to its connections to League of Legends, I finally caved in and gave it a fair shot and...I am so sorry for ever doubting any of you.

Now I don't know if this is going to get my "movie reviewer" license revoked or something but in a world where I've already sat down to watch Red Dragon (more on that in my 2024 media thread), I find myself enjoying that more over Silence of the Lambs. It's a little complicated but let me explain.

Hopefully I don't need to dish out a whole essay for this next entry because who hasn't watched The Incredibles? I've seen it, you've seen it, your dog probably watched it, we've all watched what many would describe as one of, if not Pixar's greatest movie. It's tough competition, that's for sure.

Spoilers for this season and the seasons before it (so 300+ episodes of content)

Had the final episode not been delayed to the start of 2025, this would've been the final entry of the previous thread.

I've been up and down with Fairy Tail for the past decade or so since I've been watching it. I hold a lot of nostalgia for it but even I'm willing to admit its got some problems.

But that's everything that needs to be said before jumping right into the swing of things. You know how this goes, I sure as shit know how this goes. We've got a long year ahead of us so let's not waste anymore time and start this proper...with an entry that should've been in the 2024 thread.

Also this'll be the first thread to be posted not just on here, but other social media sites as well. I realise that leaving this thread to one place isn't the wisest decision. I want a lot to people to read what I have to say and the best way to do that will be by branching out to other areas.

On that note, I have now merged some of the categories together to avoid being bloated and overly complicated. You'll be seeing these stars in each segment going forward so if you're having trouble understanding what they're for, this should help with that.

It's gonna be a little bit tougher than last year since I will be making edited visuals for each segment like I did back in my 2022 thread but having wrote up an entire year's worth of entries has made me more stronger than you can possibly comprehend, so I'll be able to thug it out.

2025 MEDIA THREAD TIME BABY!!

I know I'm starting a little later than usual but it's fine, I haven't finished a lot yet so catch up won't be frustrating to start off with.

On that note, my plan for this thread is to stay as up to date as I possibly can because last year was hellish on that part.

As a final note to end on, I made a little portfolio dedicated to the best things I looked at in 2024. This year was filled to the brim with great shows, films, games, and the like from start to end.

I don't know if or how 2025 will be any better but we'll see how that goes. I'm ready for it.

It was not easy documenting everything I looked at in 2024 so knowing that people read at least one of these entries is enough to say it was worth it.

I have already watched a couple of things that will be included in the next thread but I'll be taking a break for a week or two just to relax.
