This is a color landscape photograph of a sunset over Puget Sound from a park on the Seattle waterfront. In the foreground, a lady, largely in silhouette, sits at a picnic table facing the water and the sunset, The picnic table sits on a small grassy area that sits on a small plateau. In front of the grass, large dark jagged rocks protect the waterfront park from the water. The waters is slightly choppy. Across the sound, silhouetted mountains lie under a brilliant sky that the sun below the horizon is painting in light. Where the sun recently dipped the sky is bright yellow radiating orange and then deep red right at the horizon line. Within the yellow-orange band of color, long thin clouds show horizontally above the mountains in brilliant highlights of the underlying color band. Above the sky goes to lavendar giving the whole frame a lavendar cast.
