Cracking the Secret Language of Food: Max’s Thesis at BIG-5 We are proud to announce the successful Master’s thesis defense of Max Caixàs, a dedicated researcher whose work forms part of the BIG-5 project.

These collaborative spaces are vital for our research. They enable us to combine diverse insights, collectively solve complex methodological challenges, and ensure we're aligned as a team, thereby accelerating our progress toward groundbreaking findings.

It's an exciting time for the BIG-5 project as we're refining our framework, getting closer to our final results, and are keen to publish soon! (So, just a little hint of what's to come 😉).

We're thrilled to share that the #BIG5 team recently held an online workshop 🙌 . Our research group is excited to keep pushing forward with the project and this session was crucial as we tackled the challenge of clustering the Digital Relational Values we've been identifying across social media.

We’re sharing this to raise awareness and invite dialogue.

❌ X’s refusal undermines cross-platform accountability and the DSA’s promise.

We requested data from X (formerly Twitter) under Article 40(12) of the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), a framework meant to enable research on systemic risks.

❌ Our request was denied.

A core concept was “compensating behaviors,” which help restore a sense of normalcy. These include sticking to routines, staying socially connected, and engaging in grounding activities.
