I have spent another two days in the mountains at Naturpark Ötztal to follow scientists that mapped vegetation at the 3497m high Mt. Schrankogel. And yes, I had an official permit to go camping. ⛺🌌 Camped under the Milky Way during the Perseid meteor shower.

It holds one of the world’s longest records of glacier mass balance, a key to understanding climate change in the Alps.
