An altar sits below a 3 light window. The walls are tiled to half height with blue tiles that contrast with the stained glass window and the altar cloth.

A large standing stone emerges from a grassy meadow. There are areas of green around the stone where the grass has been cut. The rest is tall and brown, over ripening in the bright sunlight. The bright blue sky trails into the distance.
Tŷ Mawr, Ynys Môn
Likely Bronze Age, now amidst a strange encroaching hinterland of development and dead bales of silage.

This image shows an item entry on a bank statement. The amount spent has been rendered illegible. The purchase was made from a fantastic company called All Things Analogue. Sadly, the bank statement has removed the last four letters!!
Super service and the best packaging I’ve had in years from @allthingsanalogue.co.uk
I just hope my mum doesn’t see my bank statement 😳😂
That’s pretty hilarious 🤣

Growing stretches of the countryside are falling behind a paywall.
Lewis Winks, of @righttoroam.bsky.social “From entry fees for historically open parks, to pay-for-permission wild camping and river swimming, the paywalling of the countryside is quietly shutting the public out."
Sunlight cascades through a three light perpendicular stained glass window. The colourful religious scene backlights a large teddy bear that sits upon a display table positioned beneath the window.
What a perp‽

1. It’s good to see this scandal being called out at last. My thanks and congratulations go to Lee Schofield, Karen Lloyd and Ian Convery. But it’s also absolutely infuriating that it has come to this point, as I explain in this thread.

A tall standing stone rises from a crop field. A small track leads towards the stone, cutting through the lush green crop. In the distance is a small wood, with a couple of modern houses. All beneath a a grey and gloomy sky.

A narrow path leads through a crop-field towards a tall standing stone. A second lower standing stone nestles further back and to its right.

If this Government can’t even agree to this smallest of initiatives, which has no cost to them & absolutely no down-sides, what hope that it will step up to the bigger nature challenges we face? This is a *popular* policy, for heavens sake. Obstinate tin-eared stupidity doesn’t come close …
