Urinary DNA Methylation Test for Bladder Cancer Diagnosis This prospective multicenter study including individuals with hematuria evaluates the performance of a urinary DNA methylation test in identifying patients with high-grade or invasive bladder cancer.

In hematuria patients, urinary DNA methylation test showed 89% sensitivity & 88% specificity for high-grade/invasive #BladderCancer.

The concept of withholding radical treatment, such as radical cystectomy (RC) or radiotherapy, for patients with a clinical complete response (cCR) after neoadjuvant or induction systemic therapy is emerging as a potential future approach in #BladderCancer MGt

De-intensifying follow ups in low grade NMIBC will certainly help both patients (reduced visits) & clinicians/healthcare economy (reduced costs). However, careful patient selection is key!

Innovations include formal Consortium collaboration and data federation models to create a true network, not perpetuating the hub-and-spoke model, transforming coordination to tele-coordination, using great educational resources like A-CTEC, the Clinical Trials Roadmap, improved graphical and simplified PICF (NationalPICF, InformedPICF), health literary editors to improve communication, partnering with consumers in priority-setting partnerships, using existing safe technologies like REDCap and MyCap, asking the best patient-focused questions, and collecting only the data you need, taking advantage of novel data collection methods like ambient AI transcription, and leveraging the movement to implement clinical quality registries in Australia to conduct pragmatic registry randomised trials, like SWEDEHEART and other great examples.
