One satisfying part of coding is when I refactor game jam code to make it more streamlined.

Is the game more efficient ? Will the end user notice ? Nope

Does it give me a sense of inner peace ? I have reached peak coding nirvana.

Ah yes the mucus is a good idea thanks :) had not thought of that.

I will have to try different floors and see which one is the most readable for gameplay.

Thanks :) yes the idea was to have the player collect map fragments that then lead them to a treasure (shipwreck or island).

Not sure yet if I want to make it in the form of a riddle. I will have to test it out.

After coding shaders for a few days here is a sneak peek of an animated boat for my future pirate inspired game.

Next step is to progress on the gameplay 🫣

The other project I'm working on as part of a team is Welcome to Recess.

It is a visual novel with rogue-lite elements where you play as a student stuck in a time loop reliving the last 4 years of school. Each cycle is an opportunity to be a new character and develop new friendships.

My main solo project is a tactical RPG set in a weird and eldritch world where you wager your soul against gods.

You wake up in the netherworld where gods spend their time playing a dice game of fate. They invite you to play against them in exchange for your soul.
