For clarification, Scar is a wonderful person and isn't forcing me to write this - she was just doing a bit related to a recently banned chatter - it made me laugh, though
I'd totally wink twice if I was being forced to write this๐๐๐๐

I feel seen by my mods <3
14.11.2025 18:37 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Disclaimer: I got the key for free but @pinecreekgames.com absolutely delivered with Winter Burrow and I will be completing the game on stream this week.
13.11.2025 04:03 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Devs/Publishers that put estimated playtime in their press releases/outreach mails: you're the unsung heroes
12.11.2025 18:03 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I know people mean well and I appreciate their excitement but I personally like experiencing things without any mods first so I know what the mods do and impact and why they're "needed"
It makes it very difficult to untangle "mod experience" from the game if you never play it without mods.
I love when I enter a gaming community as a new player and people go "here's a list of mods"... I haven't even PLAYED the game yet, let me experience it and then let me see what - if anything - I'd like to mod
Even worse when they go "oh these are mandatory mods because XYZ sucks" LET ME DECIDE
Because of my recent obsession with Caves of Qud, chat told me to try Starsector by @amosolov.bsky.social I was already tempted by the recommendation alone (I love getting game recs) but then I read the lore section on the official website and now I NEED to play it
07.11.2025 02:58 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I played all of these live on stream so be sure to follow me on Twitch to find more cool indie games
I stream every day from 7pm GMT+1 until midnight - I'm going to run a little experiment and upload the vods of my favourite indie games to youtube soon too so stay tuned!

October was a great month for indie games, each of the 7 games on this list alone would've made me happy but I got to experience all 7 - and more because there were a bunch of other good indie games that released in October
Remember to support your favourite #IndieGame and #IndieDev
Absolum by @dotemu.bsky.social - a beat-em up that honestly feels like you're playing a fighting game character. Each of the 4 characters feels very unique with their own specialities, the boss fights are great and the upgrades give you some good variety too

BALL x PIT by @devolverdigital.com @kennysun.com - Pachinko meets Vampire Survivors meets... city builder? Survive against waves of enemies by upgrading various balls and powerups. In between games you build out a city to collect resources/powerups/characters
store.steampowered.com/app/2062430/...
Decktamer by @assembleteam.bsky.social - Blending deckbuilding with monster taming in a unique game that has you tame enemy monsters to add to your deck. If one of your monsters dies you lose it forever so you're constantly adding and swapping cards in and out
store.steampowered.com/app/2870340/...
Godbreakers by @thunderfulgames.bsky.social @godbreakers.bsky.social - Fast paced action roguelite that lets you steal abilities from enemies. Has some really good boss fights with interesting mechanics that made me feel like I was playing an MMO dungeon.
store.steampowered.com/app/2687400/...
House of Necrosis by @warkus.bsky.social - A mystery dungeon style game that blends the dungeon crawling genre with the vibe of Resident Evil. Has some dope loot and a great gameplay loop that constantly rewards you.
store.steampowered.com/app/2005870/...
Slots & Daggers by @futurefriendsgames.com - Roguelite where you expand your slot machine with new weapons, bonuses and passive abilities. Beat increasingly difficult enemies and get some crazy fun combos going.
store.steampowered.com/app/3631290/...
Necesse by @necessegame.bsky.social - a survival crafting game in the style of Core Keeper and Terraria. Find new materials to craft better gear and beat the next tier of bosses. Felt great to play and coop was smooth!

p.s. @jonka.bsky.social please turn the chains in the Abyss in to Christmas light for Christmas www.twitch.tv/seththehex/c...
There you go, 9 dope indie games I played in September! As I said, I streamed all of them over at www.twitch.tv/seththehex so make sure to drop me a follow and catch a future stream with more cool indie games and remember to support #IndieDevs
07.10.2025 00:23 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Katanaut by @voidmawgames.bsky.social @katanaut.bsky.social - Metroidvania-esque roguelite that gave me lots of Dead Cells vibes. Great combat and the controls are so responsive. Unlock new abilities and weapons and fight some tough bosses.
store.steampowered.com/app/3032830/...
CloverPit by @panikarcade.bsky.social - Slot machine roguelite that feels like Balatro mixed with Lethal Company. Meet the quotas, get upgrades and trinkets to alter your odds and LET'S GO GAMBLING.
store.steampowered.com/app/3314790/...
Aethermancer by @moiraigames.bsky.social and @offbrand.games - Creature Collecting roguelike where you assemble a team of 3 creatures to battle your way through various battles. Love collecting new creatures and finding new team setups.
store.steampowered.com/app/2288470/...
Mars First Logistics by @outersloth.com - Build your own drone to deliver items on Mars. Different objects require different approaches like making a gripper or a crane. Has a lot of fun pieces to unlock and your imagination is your only limit here.
store.steampowered.com/app/1532200/...
Burger Bots Inc by Normogames - coop game where you run a burger restaurant and try to fill customers' orders. Watch out for monsters because this definitely has a Lethal Company-esque vibe.
store.steampowered.com/app/3795760/...
Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition by Survios - Port of the VR game released last year. Great story that fits right into the Alien universe though the gameplay is a bit clunky and you can definitely feel the "made for VR" parts
store.steampowered.com/app/3655390/...
It Has My Face by @nightbytegames.com - Track down your exact clone and kill them before they kill you. Simple objective but the various mutators really spice the game up. Also has a fun 1v1 multiplayer mode.
store.steampowered.com/app/2506530/...
Flick Shot Rogues by @butterbythefish.com and @noodlecake.bsky.social - Roguelike where you flick your pieces around the board and try to bump into enemies. Very satisfying to get the angles just right and has some good interactions between various powers.
store.steampowered.com/app/2427450/...
Starting with my current obsession @megabonk.bsky.social - imagine if Vampire Survivors and Risk of Rain had a child and you pretty much land on this. Lots of unlocks, a great cast of characters to pick from and an amazing soundtrack.
