Depends on the background noise, but I prefer relative silence!

I presented a paper at a conference bc of my love for a particular series! And then went back again last April and will be back this upcoming April, too (for different papers, but still) and anyone who knows me would have never thought that'd happen in a million years!!

FANTASY
Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to jump into the fantasy I was reading. There's just something so special about fantasy, but it also allows me to process a lot about my life and the real world a slight step removed, making it easier to process and digest.

First book that came to mind was Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston! I love that book, very much!
I do also have The Sunbearer Trials by Aiden Thomas on my list, I just haven't gotten to it yet! But I'm excited to

I'll get back to book posting soon, I've just been watching an insane amount of Lily Gladstone content and just got a new job!!

Incredible film, incredible performances, and deeply devastating. Ending the movie on the powwow during the dance memorial for Missing and Murdered Relatives was the most perfect way to end the film

Wow. Devastating and enraging in every way; the performances were excellent, the cinematography and score were excellent, it was just excellent.
I implore every one to watch this movie, it's so important.
Paperback, they're easier on my joints! But in general, physical books are always the best. I only read ebooks if I absolutely need to!

What a deeply melancholic but deeply touching film. I really find this style of storytelling fascinating, Maltz is a one-of-a-kind. And of course Lily Gladstone shines so incredibly bright, they're phenomenal

I was deeply bored and I had to wait the entire movie for Lily Gladstone to show up and I was only watching for her so that just made an already bad movie worse. The effects were BAD and there was no point to the plot

Okay why'd I love this, I'm impressed it made me both cry and laugh within a 12 minute timeframe
I'll just choose one I read this year - A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; admittedly I wasn't in love with it the way I normally love a book, but I did quite enjoy it! Also admittedly, most of what I read is contemporary

GO INTO A BOOK PLEASE - except any book I go into, I'd probably not last very long cause I read mostly fantasy during active war time or rebellion ๐ so idk which I'd choose, but whatever it was I'd sure have a great time then go out with a bang, I think

Okay but why did I actually like this film? Way more than expected, cause Lily Gladstone is bringing me to new places; I really liked the camera work & cinematography of the film

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโจ
It was a beautiful film and I'm glad the real story of Willie Boy was told, but I still expected just a bit more from the film; stellar performance by Lily Gladstone, despite her more limited screentime
JUST LEARNED THERE IS GONNA BE A SIXTEENTH WINGS OF FIRE BOOK - it'll be 4 years since the last book by the time it comes out, I assumed that chapter of my childhood was done!
04.11.2025 15:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Not yet, but I'm very close to reading all of Holly Black and Cassandra Clare just cause I've been reading their works for so long; same with Tui T. Sutherland, I think I've just not read maybe 3 of her books

I've never seen anything quite like it! A drama filmed documentary style, over the course of 6 years, partially based in real life, and the two lead girls had input on the narrative? I liked the effort that went into it
