Don’t worry about growling, Rory. It’s fine. Growling is part of many, many dogs playing style. If you think her playmate is upset by it do a consent test: take her off the play. If the other dog comes back for more, all is good. If they don’t then pick a more robust playmate for her. Simples 😁

Interesting question Steve. It depends on the context. In this case I would go fir either carry on as @rorycj.bsky.social does or turn and go and turn back. #sophiefromromania isn’t upset here and, in fairness doesn’t seem frustrated either. Turn-go-turn back - repeat would get you better approach.

Opportunities like these are so important for Sophie. I’m really grateful to Gonçalo for making it available and for clearly managing the whole experience so well for Sophie and the whole crew. The wind certainly freaks her out, bless her heart ❤️

Mika showing off her people skills with her dad at a local cafe today. She often reacts to traffic, people particularly men, dogs(she’s not scared of dogs but excitement and lead frustration can kick in) and cyclists. Today she saw a lot of her triggers and had a clean run. Well done Mika 👍
