This isn't the first time that Ken Sim has been involved in a smear campaign against @seanorr.bsky.social. Sean's interview is worth a listen - for its honesty, grace, and concern for the public who are harmed by Sim's dirty tricks

IMO we need more humanity like Sean's in politics. Solidarity.

Worth noting that on a different website, multiple ABC Vancouver officials follow accounts that post constantly about how Sean Orr is a terrible human being and make all sorts of unproven claims, including one account that creates AI videos of Orr doing all sorts of illegal or evil acts

This is one of the worst things I’ve seen in Vancouver politics.

Vancouver councillor outrageously lies to Chinese audience that fellow councillor is a drug addict & dealer. Gets caught, forced to “apologize” for lying, mayor commends him for admitting fault.

Then turns out the mayor did it first.

Trumpian level disinformation and character assassination that in my opinion meets the threshold of criminal defamation.

Yesterday Ken Sim thanked Lenny Zhou for "taking responsibility for sharing information that was not accurate."

Now it appears Ken Sim himself was a source of the disinformation.

A translated article from Sing tao newspaper February 6 repeating the allegations that a councillor was distributing drugs over the holidays.

So… Sim accepted Zhou's "apology" knowing full well he repeated the same BS? Absolutely terrible leadership. Zero accountability. Unbelievable.

Just a few weeks ago I brought forward these concerns with @landonhoyt.bsky.social asking staff what kind of safety measures are in the pipeline for Hastings. We need to prioritize the safety of pedestrians in this corridor.

After Woodsquat, the entire neighborhood came together to draft a plan about what they wanted to see and the answer was community serving retail.
