Not getting a ton of national attention that i can tell, but this happened and it's really quite bad.

Attention fellow frogs in boiling water:

Here are two Trump-appointed federal judges -- both of whom were troubling judicial nominees to start with -- ruling that it was fine that Trump ignored another court's order.

I'm not surprised Cole got back to Naomi's friends immediately. I'm interested if they felt their questions were answered. Cole's answers always sound like ChatGPT with a "you are a politician" prompt.

When I messaged Molly's campaign my question was answered directly and with less than 15 words.

Naomi's post about who to vote for in the Ward 4 special election is interspersed with great context on some important parts of St. Paul politics in this moment. Give it a read even if you aren't in Ward 4.

stop doomscrolling. sleep will feel better than staying up late. I know things are super hard right now. I know how hard you are trying. Take care of yourself. One thing at a time.

This is pretty cool! Do you mind if I add the data you posted to OpenAddresses? github.com/openaddresse...

Can confirm. It took A LOT of work and time to get our relatively standard house build through various levels of St Paul red tape. Added at least 6-10 months to the process.

It should be illegal to have so few approved vendors for stuff like this. It leads to city-sponsored price gouging like this.

I was looking for better computer speakers for a while so Youtube started to show me audiophile speaker reviews. Almost all of them unironically would play recorded audio played through the speaker as a section of their Youtube video. Which I then played through my shitty computer speakers.

Wplace - A massive real-time pixel art canvas on the world map! Wplace is a collaborative, real-time pixel canvas layered over the world map, where anyone can paint and create art together.

wplace.live is a real time pixel art game on a map of the Earth. Pretty cool idea!

Looks like the original developer is in Brazil so its quite busy there, but the US is pretty quiet.

I have lots of extra Powecom KN95 masks from a big order I placed in 2021. If you want any (bags of 10), let me know. Free if you come pick 'em up.

It seems like Firefox disables or drastically reduces garbage collection browser-wide when an update is available, making it balloon in memory usage. If true, this would be a great way to encourage the user to restart the browser.

Matt who should I talk to about getting her team to blanket Instagram with eyecatching, geo-targeted ads for name recognition?

And really a battery completely failing due to old age is pretty rare. It usually just loses capacity gradually.

Barring any catastrophic damage (like some road debris stabbing through the casing or a broken coolant line or something), they'll usually last 200k+ miles

Fun fact: the one in Roseville recently got its bar area remodeled extensively by a car crashing into it.

I am happy to report that the two guys running the vacuum truck in my intersection are still able to suck the crap out of the city sewer, even in the face of a St. Paul's citywide computer security incident.

Would an Evie hourly rental work for you? It's totally perfect for the 4k miles/year situation.

Milwaukee stuff:
- Kopp's custard (the burger and chicken sandwich is good)
- Organ Piper's Pizza Palace
- American Science & Surplus
- Schlitz Audubon Center (and walk down to the lake at neighboring Doctor's Park to throw stones into Lake Michigan) (also nearby Wheel&Sprocket is great bike shop)

If I wanted to start a NIMBY organization that sues the city to slow down all infrastructure projects that *didn't* have adequate bike and pedestrian affordances, what should I read up on?

Just about every road within the bounds of the U campus is under some kind of construction right now, and trying to move through it outside of a car is extremely dangerous. I hope the sheer number of students that are showing up in a couple weeks will slow traffic down enough so no one gets hurt.

I still haven't found anything that beats Tim's at Chip's Clubhouse after they closed.

Lynette has a pretty good one, but it's got a bit of a spin and might not be what you consider "classic".

YouTube video by YallBot πŸ”΄ Live 24/7 National Weather Radar & Alerts, Weather Intensity Score & YallBot!

Ryan Hall's "Y'allbot" stream does a pretty good job of narrating real time weather and alerts: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tDe...

The same setup also does a pretty good job of filling in blank space with chats, new alerts, etc. when he does his live broadcasts during bad weather events.

The correct action for @klobuchar.senate.gov to take here was to reach over Schumer's shoulder, grab the mic, and to yell about the Republican's support of Trump's illegal actions.

Instead she stood there looking bored.
