PSA: if you’re going down an empty hallway to elevators that have all the buttons on the opposite side because doors open on both sides, look behind you BEFORE you step in the elevator. I pressed the button and turned around to see a quiet man standing there and I screamed a little 😄

It was sooo fun! It almost makes up for the complete lack of weddings in my life for the last 20 years.

Hearing this reminds me of what a delightful wordsmith Dave Wakeling is. I had the chance to chat with him after he played at our friends’ wedding and our hotel rooms connected. After hanging out until I was exhausted, I kicked Dave Wakeling (and others) out of our room. 😄

Ugh a similar thing happened to my mom when she switched to a new phone and laptop around the same time Google added dual verification. She was unable to get Gmail to open on her new laptop and never will be able to. So freakin dumb. Also fun to try to explain this to her..

A dark brown doodle eating out of a raised dog dish. Next to him on the floor is a Pupperoni dog treat that he refused to take today. He loves these treats, but he loves his kibble more!

I give their dogs a treat after they do their business outside in the morning. Lately Felix has been telling me he really wants his boring dry kibble breakfast first. He either spits out or refuses to take his treat. He will eat it after kibble, thank you very much.

When sidewalk conditions are very bad, but dogs need walkies, I sometimes bring a bag of cigarette and throw it over the iciest parts so I don’t wipe out

Cherry stone grit does a much better job than sand of grinding the ice away as people walk or drive on it. And you can reuse it to some extent with mid season or spring sweeps.

I switched to cherry stone grit a few years ago and it’s the best by far.
