The new store isn't operated by Culturefly so I'm hearing tons of rumors that the relationship between them is strained and Culturefly could lose the license soon.

And the intro. It feels like such a cynical ploy to make the next Smiling Critters by having these guys show up in the intro cutscene only to do literally nothing afterward except appear as collectibles and get a paragraph each of flavor text.

Not this specific brand but Trader Joe's has a great selection of mochis (though of course this depends if you have a TJ's near you and don't mind them constantly discontinuing stuff)

They've had it for a couple years now and used to crosspost everything on both their Twitter and BlueSky but a year ago they abruptly stopped posting on the BlueSky page so to see them back here is a surprise.

I also once heard a rumor that Dana Terrace was approached early in her career to write for the show but she ended up working on DuckTales 2017 instead because she would have more creative freedom on that show and supposedly other talented animation writers have similar stories.

Nick Jennings and Bob Boyle are really talented guys, the problem is that they weren't very good fits for The Powerpuff Girls IP and the demands of the executives (I definitely think stuff like the Spin Master deal made the executives a lot more hands on than they otherwise would be).

The 2016 intro is the textbook definition of "amazing intro that's way to good for a horrible show"

It's weird because even the Dandy's World plushies from the same company (CultureFly) cost less at $32 each and come with little magnets in the hands, accessories and wires on the inside for possibility so the only real explanation for the higher prices on the PPT plush is MOB's greed.

What I don't get is why MOB thinks its reasonable to charge nearly $50 (not counting shipping) each for plushies of characters they just revealed. Even with the tariffs and the flipping gimmick it's not easy to convince people to drop $50 for a single plush unless it's really rare or from Japan.

My understanding is that a lot of TVtropes editors tend to be pretty defensive of Banban, it's entirely possible that someone tried to add it but another editor removed it for "being too opinionated" or whatever BS reason they wanna give even though the YMMV tropes are called that for a good reason.

It says a lot that both FNAF and Hello Neighbor are listed as examples of The Chris Carter Effect on the TVtropes page, and a quote from Markiplier's Poppy Playtime chapter 5 rant is in the quotes page.

While it's a huge problem with mascot horror, it's sadly a problem carried on from long-running TV shows which use serialized storytelling but have no intention of ending as long as they are still popular. TVtropes calls it "The Chris Carter Effect" because The X-Files popularized it.
