Weird that we have to say this, but the government doesn’t get to decide what gender a person is.

Waking up to discover that I’m still nowhere close to being finished was nothing short of DEVASTATING.

The Greeks absolutely had it right when they included a chorus in their plays. They knew audiences are dumbasses who need to be told “THIS MAN IS BAD. HE IS HERE AS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT *NOT* TO DO. WOE TO THE BUMPTIOUS FOOL WHO WOULD IDOLIZE HIM. YOU ARE NOT, NOR DO YOU WANT TO BE, ALEX DELARGE”

The only way I have managed to feel comfortable posting my creative works has been by doing it anonymously. Even then, once I’ve gained any significant following on those accounts, I began to feel self-conscious about every single thing I posted. It felt performative at that point.
I think my favorite thing about being in school (again) is having access to libraries and JSTOR and all manner of amazing resources.

If you’re stuck, just write. Write absolutely anything. Don’t worry about grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc…
Just write.
I can’t even decide on essay titles for my uni classes so I can’t even imagine the pressure of choosing a title for a novel!!

As for an all-time favourite, I feel like I change my mind too frequently to give a definitive answer. However, “The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak will likely always be in my top 5.

But can movies/TV figure out sound so one volume works the whole time? Why is the dialogue a whisper, but a passing car sounds like it just drove through my wall?

As an ADHDer, I’m not sure why I thought I was capable of doing a 20 day “Book a day” posting challenge—I literally can’t even remember to take my Vyvanse everyday…

CHOICE is key to becoming a reader. When kids are given a wide range of books to choose from, and are allowed to choose freely - THEY READ! I don’t believe in “reluctant readers” - just readers who haven’t yet found the right books for them. So it’s our job to help them find those books! #literacy

If we can’t read passages from our favorite classic novels aloud to one another whilst enjoying dark chocolate tiramisu and a bottle of Château Margaux in front of a crackling fire in a Victorian mansion during a full moon on a cold winter’s night, then what’s the point?
