I don’t want to support people who just know how to slam phrases into a chat box that generates pictures, which are then sold at an extraordinary price. I want to support real artists, real people which use their creativity and skills.
I really love supporting artists and their creativity, especially the smaller ones, but this year at Leipziger Buchmesse it's really hard to distinguish between GenAI bs and those who have genuinely put effort into their drawings.
It was never about sports, about „protecting women“, about bathrooms. It was always about criminalising the existence of trans people. About making them disappear from public spaces. Forcing them back in the closet or into despair and death. It’s about eradication.
