Matt, this wasnโ€™t directed at you, just a general comment. These alternative grading approaches aim to prioritise โ€œassessment for learningโ€, which isnโ€™t new. Whatever we call it I hope we see greater integration into education that reduces the reliance on grades as the primary โ€œmeasure of learning.โ€

Itโ€™s interesting how, in this context, many interpret the โ€œunโ€ as completely eliminating grading. However, itโ€™s more about โ€œundoing,โ€ rethinking, or, as Jesse Stommel puts it, โ€œraising an eyebrowโ€ at current grading practices.
