When she tried to explain to me how the charges were calculated, I told her flat out he wasn't paying that, got him back in the phone and told him not to pay it. Oh, I was livid that day
Way down in Palmetto or way up in Ballground.
Yeah, in Cobb, each precinct had a zone wrecker that had to be within the bounds of the precinct or a certain distance if there wasn't a capable yard. And surprisingly, Atlanta uses A-Tow which is long walk/quick bike ride away. But the private lots/store lots will have some crazy place like...
Going rate should have been about $125 for the tow and how long it was actually at Marietta Wrecker. Which still sucks, but I was shocked when they tried to pull that when I first called up after the owner called me about it.
We had the car towed to our evidence shed so we could process it. Took a couple days, then we did the release, it went to Allgood Road, and owner picked ut up. Marietta wrecker tried to charge for storage when it was on county property and billed the guy almost $800.
Oh, I about got our precinct's contract yard kicked off their contract when they tried to screw over the owner of a stolen car i traced to east point and recovered. It became a BIG deal after I referred the guy to the person in charge at our department and a lot of refunds issued.
Also, some tow lots are surprisingly far away. City/county usually towed close by, but if a private owner towed, even working in north marietta/Woodstock, the main company they used was in Palmetto. That was an hour fifteen from one particular incident I was called to.
Yeah, was not uncommon for a car getting towed/repoed for the owner to call police and try to report it stolen. And when they're told their car was not stolen, they are often not the rype to accept that news well.
Good.

Kind of crazy the universe was just lying around like that.
Anti-doping or anti-dopes? Who knows!?
To make an original sauce from scratch, you must first create the universe.

Seems a good idea. I essentially did the first step of that yesterday but need to get some more speed for the full process. Have a good spot for that at least.
Everything seems to be in good order with the brakes and everything else. Glad i made sure to get a deep socket for the rear in my way home because they were a couple foot pounds loose. Seems really well-made and solid for an entry level and what I was looking for. Can't wait to fully try it out.
Yup! "Assembled" it yesterday (more take out the packing materials and torque a couple bolts, but took a while) and did a function check on the brakes and electronics. Home too late today from work for a good ride, but definitely going in the morning for something, wearher permitting.
This is a good problem to be clear. But still easing into everything.
I can already tell from the extremely abbreviated test ride from my workbench (Corolla decklid) to the bike rack in the parking garage just to make sure basic functionality was there that there's a lot more to work with than the rentals, and I want to take it slow getting used to everything.
Yeah, still no sympathy if he's a guest. Read the room and/or talk to your host.
Trying to figure out exactly where I'd like to ride tomorrow that would be interesting but not too much (like i'd like to get a good feeling on how the feel of the pedal assist/brakes/handling are before I brave crossing Moreland or getting off side streets/dedicated bike lanes). Is fun to plan.
Yeah, some people need to learn rhe hard way. This is a conscious decision with dairy warning and plenty of options.
Was guest teaching a class of 49 people today and made a Kenny Lofton reference.
ONE person knew who he was.
Tow truck time please

Like as soon as you drop the needle and "Miss You" starts you know it's gonna be a good listen.
I always heard that one as slicker than alligator shit.
Also fond of if a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass when he jumped.
Oohh that's a great choice.
