I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

National Insitutes of Health funding cuts by Trump administration benefit no one | Opinion Indirect funds are essential for supporting the research infrastructure needed to develop innovative solutions to the most pressing health challenges.

I wrote an op-ed for voters in a red state about how devastating NIH indirect cuts are. This type of writing isn’t my comfort zone, but I think we as scientists need to get the word out. Happy to chat with others looking to do the same in their communities!

This was such a great panel to be part of. True it’s early days, but I’m optimistic that with careful leadership and investment AI can help traditional evidence synthesis deliver where it has also underdelivered for those who need and want it, especially for decision making. #NextGenEvidence
