Flock isn’t Amazon’s only surveillance partnership. It also works with Axon, a company most known for selling tasers, body cameras, and surveillance dashboards to police. Axon also lets police request Ring footage without a warrant.

Amazon might have cut ties with Flock due to backlash, but links to the surveillance state are baked into its business model. Ring became the #1 doorbell camera in the market via police partnerships, even hawking free devices to attract customers. www.latimes.com/business/tec...

Leaked Email Suggests Ring Plans to Expand ‘Search Party’ Surveillance Beyond Dogs Ring's CEO told staff the feature is “first for finding dogs,” indicating a plan to expand.

We all knew that Amazon Ring’s “Search Party” feature wouldn’t stop at looking for dogs. In leaked emails, its founder talks about using it to search our sidewalks for *anyone* – that’s a constitution-defying power that no corporation should have.

NM Senate passes bill to protect drivers from increased surveillance Public News Service (PNS) is a member-supported news service that advocates journalism in the public interest. PNS's network of state-based news services distribute high quality public interest news…

NM is moving to put guardrails on license plate reader surveillance. The Driver Privacy and Safety Act would ban ALPRs for general surveillance/civil traffic enforcement, limit what data can be shared out of state.

Worth noting that a lot of this surveillance infrastructure was funded and promoted by Democrats who framed it as a more humane alternative to Trump’s “wall”

The evidence suggests the “surveillance wall” actually lead to more deaths in the desert

Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: Flock Ring and the MF'n PolICE // Flock Ring y la maldita policía. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar. From day one, the Trump regime has depended on Big Tech corporations to advance its violent agenda. And in October 2025, two of these corporations, Flock and Amazon’s Ring announced a partnership to further entrench their violent tech weapons into the State’s surveillance and policing apparatus. Flock and Ring’s dangerous track record include being used by ICE to target migrants for deportation, being tapped by police agencies to identify protesters, and by government officials seeking to criminalize trans folks and abortion seekers. But communities across the country are fighting back! People are organizing to expose Flock’s Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR) and Amazon’s Ring cameras for what they are - mass surveillance and criminalization networks used to target our people - and to stop contracts between them and polICE. Join us to learn more about what Big Tech corporations are pushing to surveil us, why partnerships between Flock/Ring and the mf’n polICE are dangerous, and how you can join the fight to stop these partnerships to build truly safe communities where we have housing, healthcare, education, and other community needs, not racist surveillance.

Big Tech surveillance is fueling ICE violence. Join our friends at @mediajustice.bsky.social for a discussion exposing how Flock and Amazon Ring are partnering with ICE to criminalize our communities: mediajustice.us19.list-manage.com/track/click?...

At a time when millions of families are already struggling with the rising cost of living, the FCC should be focused on making connectivity more affordable.

Instead, it is erecting new barriers that risk raising phone and internet bills for the people who can least afford it. 🧵
