Trying to get my dad over so I can apologize to him for being a brat when he tried to teach me about my black culture. I was raised by a racist white grandmother and it's taken me 30 years to realize how much damage she did trying to keep me away from "that side of my family".

We had to read the poem aloud to the class, so I did. I was so pissed off I basically started rapping, went red in the face, and when I was done everyone started clapping. One of classmates was like "dang you were PASSIONATE". And if I was smart I would've used that talent to make a career lol.

Listening to Kendrick Lamar's Euphoria reminds me of the time I was in I think 9th grade. I had a homework assigning to write a poem and one of my longtime friends was pissing me off so I wrote about her (she was in a different class so I could get away with it).

Kendrick is one of the most attractive men of our time. 🙏
