#Multidisciplinaryteam meetings are expensive and time-consuming, and they don’t advance patient care and should be replaced by protocol-driven care and smaller meetings for complex cases, says @pmccoubrie.bsky.social. buff.ly/XzK9gHG #radiology #cancercare

@paulsinha.bsky.social described it succinctly when recently pushing his autobiography, calling it β€˜borderline psychopathic self-promotion’

As someone who came to writing later in life, I 100% get it and similarly don’t object to it from others

Some sympathy for the teleradiology company. General Medical Council again not fit for purpose. How hard is it to check that an individual is trained and licensed?

If it were easy, it wouldn’t need such expertise and experience

Which is a feature of using less expert staff. They don’t make decisions; they kick the can down the road, they hedge, they do more tests, they keep the patient in hospital

It’s a false economy too. Costs more. And patients hate it
