Was saving this movie for Halloween Night. I got it a little spoiled for me but this movie was so beautiful I don't know if I could handle watching it again just because my heart can't take it. Symbolic through and through, it has a 98% for good reason!

Halloween Challenge Night 30: Abbot Elementary: Costume Contest

As a teacher, I like abbot elem. and always relate. It's not my favorite show but the halloween episodes are super relatable so I'm glad they put out another one. Cute and short watch

Halloween Challenge Night 29: Carnival of Souls (1962)

Another confusing and disappointing movie. Ending was predictable from a modern eye but the leading actress was great.

Halloween Challenge Night 28: Macabre (1956)

I feel like I still don't know what happened in this movie. It was creepy and had some disturbing visuals, but the plot was so convoluted with little to no explanation I was a bit disappointed

Halloween Challenge Night 27: Frankenstein (1818)

Another book entry! With how obsessed I am with Frankenstein, I've never read the book. There is so much detail Shelley adds that is greatly lost in the movies so I'm glad I got a chance to read it in it's entirety

Halloween Challenge Night 26: What's New Scooby Doo: Farmed and Dangerous

Another one with the students. This once was cute and they were happy to watch scooby at school. I think What's New Scooby Doo is my favorite iteration of the franchise so it brought me a lot of nostalgia as well

Halloween Challenge Night 25: The Cursed Moon (2023)

This is the first book entry on ever!! We read this as a class and my students absolutely loved how spooky it was. Centering Latino siblings with incarcerated parents and having to rewrite their own "scary story" it was inspiring

Halloween Movie Challenge Night 24: Nope (2022)

Keke Palmer has my heart! I feel bad that I didn't enjoy this movie more but I the symbolism was not lost on me. I also love Daniel Kaluuya and Steven Yeun! Definitely worth a watch once

I think I have now seen almost every Nosferatu movie. This one was pure analog horror but I now know I absolutely hate silent films. Never again.

A Chinese film that's been in my to-watch for years now and I finally got around to it! I love the cinematography and slapstick of asian comedies. It was also the perfect amount of funny/scary

Another spooky show I watched with my students. It was cute because it talked about echolocation and vibrations so it related to out science lesson and felt very nostalgic
