A small house with a solar panel attached to a square button. The image has the text “We’re installing solar panels together”

Solar panels won’t just make your home greener.
They could also save money on your energy bill. 💸🫰💵

Just had the update from the council that crews are on their way now (Friday 8am) to address the bad pothole on the A45 by the BP garage, that has popped up a lot on social media.

Not the usual view of the Richmond Road Playing Fields, but somehow the colours make it look more exotic and interesting than it is.

Oaklands Park Run. A new PB for me. Officially, my result was 27:00, but I think the 27:18 that I recorded in Starva is closer to the truth. I should be proud, but I think the PB being recorded as better than I think it was, has thrown me somewhat.

I talked about the importance of communication and the reaction as people realised that they would be loosing their weekly black bin collection, really drove home why it's so important. www.birminghammail.co.uk/.../major-bi....

Council Tax Reduction Scheme consultation Each year the Council must decide whether to change the Council Tax Reduction scheme for working age applicants in the borough. Council Tax Reduction is a discount that helps people on low incomes pay...

If you live in Solihull and receive Council Tax Relief, please do take the time to understand the changes the council is proposing to the scheme and respond to the consultation. It could affect your income. You can find it here: yourvoicesolihull.uk.engagementhq.com/council-tax-...

Re-open Beechnut Lane Crossing - Solihull and Meriden Liberal Democrats

As Lib Dem Environment & Infrastructure spokesperson, I was contacted by a number of residents and as a result spoke against it's closure. Now the local community are pushing for it's reopening. www.solihull-libdems.org.uk/campaigns/pe...

Residents kindest response to the SPRINT Active Travel Scheme was "waste of money". This is me asking why unlike other major roadwork schemes SPRINT must deliver an active travel scheme.

Not my best time, but yesterday's parkrun was no 50! (I'd had a bit of target of hitting the 50 milestone before christmas and I made it with 3 weeks to spare.
Can I make to 100 before next Christmas? (Probably not, but we'll see)

Official time 27:26. New park run PB at Oaklands this morning. I answered the question of could I go below 27:30. I suppose the next question is can I go below 27:00? (A question a year ago, I would never have dreamed, I'd be posing).

Yesterday, I participated in Solihull's Remembrance service. As a Councillor, we don our official robes and stand facing the memorial during the ceremony.
I attend every year as its important to remember those who gave their lives. Had they not, the world would be a much darker place.

Bike theft has effectively been decriminalised.

The Liberal Democrats are demanding action through Operation Bike Bait — a national crackdown to catch offenders and deliver justice.

Rise in Solihull residents using council tax support scheme Simplified council tax support scheme supporting more residents - but warning it is costing council

Me speaking about Solihull's Council Tax Scheme, attempting to get to the bottom of exactly how much money the council receives from central government to support it. The answer was less than it costs to run, but they don't know.

I do strongly believe that women together with their partners should have a right to choose whether they are in the right place to bring up a child, within those early weeks of pregnancy.

One of the biggest frustrations most people face. I know there are times, when I've simply given up trying to get an appointment.

Waiting weeks to see a doctor when you're sick, worried, or in pain should be unheard of.

The Labour government must back our emergency plan:
🥼 A recruitment and retention drive for 8000 more GPs
🏥 A dedicated fund to reopen surgeries
📱 24/7 booking via 111
