140 years after his execution, his fight for an inclusive Canada continues to shape our country today. We honour Riel’s legacy in our work to advance Métis priorities and build a better future — together.

Which is amazing & absolutely fantastic of you to do for them. As a fellow December baby, I know the emotions around it all can change over time, but I hope that it’s celebrated & welcomed well past them being able to make their own decisions about it (by those not close or in the know especially).

This coming weekend I’ll be celebrating with my childhood best friend (and saying hello to another childhood friend) who arrives back from Africa. Next week I’ll be celebrating with my first best friend from adulthood.

To say that I am excited to see both of them is an understatement!

This week kicks off a three-month-long birthday celebration. You only turn 40 once, so, might as well celebrate it with the people who matter - wherever they are, wherever life takes you both or both!
