I think those of us born in the 90s got very lucky to have the gaming landscape we did. Game studios were making new ideas and seeing what stuck, yearly releases that didn't crunch dev time, lots of mascot characters. Games felt huge, but perfectly sized. So much more color and personality too 💯

The last one I went to was a midnight launch for the Switch 2. That was a lot of fun. Midnight launches are so rare now and I don’t when I’ll be able to go to another. 😕

Twitter was great pre-musk, but he’s changed it to the point of being unrecognizable. I dipped out years ago and it’s only gotten worse.

GameCube. I loved that you could hit different buttons to changes the sound to get a little variety.

The pendulum always swings back, but the amount of damage caused in the meantime is going to take a long time to recover from….if we can recover that is. 😕

I still have them all too, but I’m hoping they get put on NSO someday so more people can play them. That and the thought of playing them online sounds appealing.

I’m the same way. 4 nailed its mini-games but those boards are rough. The boards are the best part of Mario Party imo.

Agreed I love the orb system here. It feel it’s a major improvement over the capsules from 5, and 7 has the character specific orbs which aren’t exactly balanced.

I like those games too though but I come back to 6 the most.

The GameCube Mario Parties in general are highly underrated. The N64 games deserve their praise (well 2 and 3 at least) but 4-7 are great too.

4: Amazing mini-games, weak boards though
5: Great mini-games and decent boards
7: Similar to 6, great boards and solid mini-games. Has an 8-player mode.

I’ve played nearly all the Mario Party games, and this one is my favorite. The board are all great and it has a solid collection of mini-games. The day/night cycle adds variety and keeps you on your toes.

Hoping this gets added to NSO.

Definitely not alone I prefer the simplicity of BOTW too. Both games are amazing though

100% true. This was a hard lesson to learn. As much as we want to help others, we have to look out for ourselves. Sometimes that’s means letting go of people that are holding us back.
