I watch a bit of cEDH content, so there the Rhystic and Tithes and whatnot are fine, but yeah, when I'm watching shows where the fun comes from the hosts/guests just playing a fun game, some of those cards just completely derail the feel.

Finally made it out to my FLGS for casual commander day this week. Honestly, just getting out of the house and being social with people outside of my co-workers was SO REFRESHING!

The players there are already using the Bracket system, and it seemed to work well and make good pods for everyone.

It seems to me like the initial graphic was just an aid to the video, as most of what is on this new graphic was stated in the explanation video. But it is a good communication step to add context to the graphic, and explain how intent and mentality effects Brackets.

In my regular, very casual group, this seems fairly accurate thinking about how my decks perform.

Currently playing in a 1 shot (now a 3 or 4 shot) and I'm starting to think the DM is running a False Hydra. I have never been so scared and excited for a #DnD session as I am this week.

I agree, mostly because it was a way for people in a general area to get together and just be excited together for a new game launch.

I still remember waiting in line for CoD MW2 being so hyped for my night vision goggles and just being around others who were happy and celebrating their fandom.

Really enjoying #SkeletonCrew at the moment. It feels like we are watching some kids experiencing #StarWars for the first time. I really like the setting not being weighed down by expectation, and the amount of cool aliens is so nice to see. It's so beautiful and full of whimsical heart.

New Warlock changes for 11.1 are looking pretty good! Excited to see how they shake out, especially the Channel Demonfire and Dimensional Rift passive nodes. Reminds me I gotta log on and run some Mythics. #WoW

Baking cookies, and getting ready to continue my Pillars of Eternity 2 run to get ready for Avowed.

For me, as not a writer, but still, Dungeon Master things. When a PC falls for one of my characters, and I have to improv with one of my best friends the deep and varied emotional connections between people falling in love while staring them dead in the eyes. Almost paralyzing for me.

Any guesses at my WoW class and spec?

My adaptation was to make it a 4e style skill challenge with different skills having different DCs, and allowing class features and spells to grant advantage if they made sense.

It ended up a great extrapolation for dungeon crawling and seemed like a massive success. I'll definitely use it again.

Stole and adapted an idea for exploration from a prior DM of mine for hex crawling.

Survival Check, going in initiative order DC 15. On a success, you draw two cards from a deck, those cards signified what was in the next hex, and selected one, on failure you draw one and that is where you move.

#DnD night! Will the party on their side quest with side-DM me survive their trek into the dark mines? Or do I need to explain to my wife how I TPK'd us on her off week?

Made some spaghetti from scratch tonight, and once again got was amazed at how much better real food from scratch ingredients is compared to the preprocessed junk I had been used to.

The best part of being in a super casual guild is trying to get AoTC tomorrow and feeling like we have actually been progression raiding instead of racing to the finish line.
