If we want to talk about so-called "biological reality," then we need to accept that nobody is biologically Christian, Republican or politically conservative. Those are social identities that people choose to assume.
Too many trans women shy away from working out, but more of you need to understand that building muscle is good, and it does NOT make you look like a man--it makes you look like a healthy woman. Besides, a degree of independence through physical ability is good and should be celebrated
There's been no shortage of people online telling me that nobody will see me as a woman, which is funny when you consider that after knocking on hundreds of doors, not a single person has misgendered me--including the people who think I can't hear them talking about me through their door 🤭
One of the most fun things about running for office is that I'm getting scoring surveys from all the most batshit crazy anti abortion, anti vax, right-wing "non partisan" orgs I didn't know existed but put themselves on my radar.
Truthfully? They don't.
"Just move to a safe state" is not a practical solution to combat anti trans laws. Moving costs money most of us don't have, so it's impractical at best. This also leaves transphobic policy unchallenged in half the country, which we don't want to be the standing norm. Stand your ground.

I need a legal expert to tell me if a judge can actually get away with prohibiting the submission of evidence. That strikes me as maliciously unethical.
This is why I don't use the "we're only 1% of the population" argument. It's not about numbers. If there were only 10 trans people in America, it would be morally unacceptable to treat us the way we are treated.
We're also more likely to be socialist/communist than liberal, which is another way we upset the established liberal order. Those of us in politics often have to downplay some of our positions to be more palatable.
