Probably one of the fundamental structural flaws with current culture.

There is no debate in this conversation. Sugar is #1 and it’s not even close.

This is precisely what the ‘99 protests in Seattle accomplished. WTO never succeeded at reaching the BIG agreement that would have given it enforcement authority. Now Trump is harnessing the energy of those protests in the most perverse way! The left totally lost its argument against globalization.

I don’t like it when Duolingo threatens me late at night.

Definitely confused that Sam Walton’s book from generations ago is still in print. Definitely bothered that it’s next to Hansberry. Alphabetical order and respect for the human condition be damned.

Image of text in a book that reads:

For some reason, the most vocal Christians among us never mention the Beatitudes. But, often with tears in their eyes, they demand that the Ten Commandments be posted in public buildings. And of course that's Moses, not Jesus. I haven't heard one of them demand that the Sermon on the Mount, the Beatitudes, be posted anywhere.

"Blessed are the merciful" in a courtroom? "Blessed are the peacemakers" in the Pentagon? Give me a break.

Kurt Vonnegut writing about the hypocrisy of so-called Christians.

She’s Raising Her Daughter in Her Own Childhood Apartment It took a ruling from New York State’s highest court, and a critical renovation of the building, to make a dream come true.

Lunchtime timeline cleanse. I love any time @dwgibson.bsky.social writes about real estate for the NYT. This colorful apartment brought sunshine to my day. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/27/r...

Good news. Workers have power and need to flex it more like this.
