Ah... Bluesky is just mean and I can't write enough words for the story. So I include it there.

It's a starry night with flowers and trees. Amendelwyr and Iolanthe are flying together. Amendelwyr is upside down, on a rising flight path near the ground. She looks at Io, who is angled toward her.

A world of light and open space. This is where they open wings. A dragon's realm, where freedom sings. Here they will soar and dive. Stars glinting off scales, alive. All the trees and animals witness. The passage of two dragonesses. Dear friends who are true. They love each other and they'll love you. Each are friends, through and through. One who lives in the deep below. One who flies, through rain or snow. They share a dance together, swirling in the air. Their hearts beat strong and they are fair. And it came to pass, their lights grew bright. A faith in truth, not their own might. A hope for better times and peaceful word. A hope for others to look heavenward. The sky above will tell their tale. If one will listen from whence they hail... Enid hit it out of the park... Thanks for taking this with me, Io.~

So what to do?

Disabling the "use external apps" permission in server settings only hides usage in the chat window instead of preventing it.
The bot will send a message with the output to everyone; and who used it.

You can delete the message and ban the user. 🤷

Here's the kicker from article 21 there:
"... unless express permission is granted by Discord."

Now I'm no legal expert, but by partnering with these services, are they not 'granting permission' to them to somehow circumvent their own policy? What about our consent as Discord owners/users?

Under Discord's developer policy, training AI models without permission is prohibited.

The AI works with the data a user gives it. Several developers messaged me saying that these apps are incapable of reading a server channel's message history by design.

But excuse me for having a broken trust ever since @deviantart added their Generative AI training scoop without consent. #Mmmhmm

These partners are not users "hidden" in your Discord. Banning the IDs will not prevent it from being usable by any user. As they are technically wrapped code on static images, a feature that Discord added to all images you view on its platform. This has been here for some time now...

Now, I have seen some say tech-savvy dragons say that they are incapable of crawling any channels for data to mine. I'm not sure that I __completely__ trust any company's word who partners with Gen-AI. Seeing as every corner of the internet has been inundated with unfortunate sewage.

The below screenshot is misinformative. This is what I've learned and offer my Discord server's solution.

The ID's listed are @discord.com's partnered Gen-AI. Domo AI, GlifBot, InsightFaceSwap, and Viggle.

They are not users and thus operate their functions outside your server.
