Went into training camp feeling pretty strongly that De'Andre Hunter was going to have an awesome season for the #Cavs and his first two preseason games have only amplified that thought.

Thought that was a relatively sloppy half of basketball from the #Cavs. The start was solid, but didn't think they ever found a flow offensively after the first run from the starters.

Don't want to read *too* much into preseason rotations, but I think it's just worth noting that Mobley and Mitchell did not check out together.

Last season they were pretty much tied at the hip in first halves.

Very minor niche/aesthetics thing, but it's interesting to see the #Cavs with black accessories (headbands, socks) with their wine uniforms. Had been same color as the uniforms last year.

The #Cavs are sticking with the same starting five tonight in Chicago: Donovan Mitchell, Jaylon Tyson, De'Andre Hunter, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.

#Cavs drop their preseason opener to the Chicago Bulls 118-117.

De'Andre Hunter looked very good, as did Evan Mobley. Thought Jaylon Tyson did good things, too. Craig Porter Jr. was a bright spot off the bench and Tyrese Proctor had a nice debut.

For those watching at home: How has the viewing experience been on NBC/Peacock?

#Cavs and Bulls are tied at 57 at halftime of this preseason contest. Cavs starters -- Mitchell, Tyson, Hunter, Mobley and Allen -- looked pretty good in the 12 minutes they played. The bench unit -- Ball, CPJ, Nance Jr., Wade and Tomlin -- never really found a rhythm.

Same five that started the game for the #Cavs will begin the second quarter, too.

#Cavs are going with a full line shift here. Lonzo Ball, Dean Wade, Larry Nance Jr., Craig Porter Jr., and Nae'Qwan Tomlin checking in.

Pretty nice start for the #Cavs. Really like Jaylon Tyson's activity on the defensive end of the floor and think De'Andre Hunter looks great next to Mobley and Allen. They're leading Chicago 18-6 with 7:08 left in the first quarter.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are 7.5-point favorites tonight in their preseason opener against the Chicago Bulls.

Kenny Atkinson says that starters will play tomorrow for the #Cavs in their preseason opener tomorrow against the Bulls. It won’t be big minutes, but they’ll play.

Lonzo Ball says that back-to-backs are “off the table” at the table at the start of the year for him. He also expects to be playing around 20 minutes per night at the start of the season.
