Post for the GMPV EGU Scientific Campfire on 25 September at 4 pm CEST. Top section: a photo of Laura Lünenschloss. Text says she is an MSc student at Universität Tübingen, Germany, presenting on H₂O-vesicle formation in the hybrid region of a bimodal melt system, described as an experimental progress. Middle section: a photo of Dong Wang. Text says he is a PhD candidate at the University of Science and Technology, China, presenting on the thermal conductivity of lower mantle minerals and its implications for the heat flux from Earth’s core. Bottom section: a photo of Renée Tamblyn. Text says she is a PostDoc at Universität Bern, Switzerland, presenting on petrochronology of subduction processes, komatiite hydration and production of H₂ as an energy source for early life, and her role in developing a new in-situ method for Lu-Hf geochronology.
