A practical tool to help states strengthen laws, accountability, and protections for education during war—because learning must never be a casualty of conflict.

This builds on recent work in Bogotá, strengthening legal frameworks & prosecutorial strategies.

With insights from Hon. Justice Luka Kimaru, Michelle Oliel, Ruby Axelson, Giovanni Álvarez Santoyo & moderator Siraj Khan (EAA_Foundation), the session echoed a clear message:
Accountability restores dignity.

Attacks on education keep rising — often unpunished due to legal gaps & lack of child-sensitive investigations.
Panelists called for:

🔹 Effective prosecution of military use of schools
🔹 Restorative & survivor-centred justice
