The Trump administration continues to attack federal workers — shredding contracts, straining our workplaces to the breaking point & cutting vital services. But every attack is fuel for new waves of organizing. We stand together & we won't back down. #unionstrong www.govexec.com/workforce/20...
DOGE was never about efficiency or saving $—it was about handing Social Security over to Wall Street, dismantling public services & making it impossible to hold corporations accountable. That's why federal workers have been sounding the alarm—and we won't stop fighting back. #wetookanoath
Federal workers took an oath to the people - because our government doesn't belong to dictators or billionaires. Federal workers have been organizing non-stop to protect & create a government that works for ALL of us. We won't back down. We will organize, we will fight & we will win. #wetookanoath
For decades, women have provided critical services within the federal government. Women give quality healthcare, inspect food, provide disaster relief, fight wildfires, track down polluters & help veterans. We're honored to support women that work toward a government that works for everyone.
🧵We're building a stronger, more multiracial, more democratic labor movement. Every attempt to silence workers only fuels new waves of organizing. Trump wants to erase our contracts. But he can never erase our power. Join us: www.federalunionists.net #unionstrong
🧵This isn't just about attacking unions — Trump is attacking the gains of the Civil Rights Movement. Rolling back contracts today is a way to roll back the unfinished work of racial justice, undermining both democracy in the workplace & civil rights in society. But Black workers don't stand alone.
🧵Trump intentionally went after a mechanism that has helped lift Black families into the middle class. Erasing federal sector CBAs dismantles structures that prevent racial discrimination & arbitrary firings, leaving workers more vulnerable to political & racialized retaliation.
🧵For decades, Black workers have experienced lower racialized wage gaps + higher representation in the public sector than in the private sector. But Trump immediately attacked BIPOC workers, shuttered programs serving communities of color & removed a disproportionate number of Black workers.
🧵Collective bargaining agreements have been powerful tools to reduce racial and gender wage gaps in the US. Federal contracts enshrine transparent pay scales, due process rights, and protections from favoritism—guardrails that Black workers, women, and veterans have long relied on.
This latest move - taken on National Black Lives Matter Day - is a blatant removal of protections and power from Black federal workers. Let's unpack why this matters and its implications for racial justice in the workplace. 🧵
The Trump administration has eliminated hundreds of thousands of federal workers, making it harder for Americans to access critical public services. This is the opposite of efficiency - and it's why we're fighting with federal workers to stand up for our services. #unionstrong #supportfederalworkers
Research is a key piece of delivering good healthcare as a public service. Federal workers carry expertise and passion that should not be swept under the rug.

Elon Musk will have to testify over his role in shuttering USAID, a federal judge has ruled.
The DOJ tried to protect Musk from testifying, arguing it would “intrude on White House activities," but given Musk wasn’t a secretary or agency head, this reasoning doesn't excuse him. trib.al/MAY31hu

Solidarity WORKS. After collective organizing + pressure, HHS rescinded layoff notices for workers at CDC’s National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health. This victory for NIOSH workers reminds us: when federal workers organize, we can stop reckless cuts & defend public health. #unionstrong
