Had a dream earlier that they added an extra HUD-based gimmick to every Melee character.
Mario got a rear-view mirror. Kirby got a pinball display that gave points for random actions. All the Pokemon got Tamagotchis. Etc.

Only exception is Quake but I like everything as low as possible for that game. It's too unique a vibe to ruin with smooth lighting

The only graphics setting I'll ever complain about is lighting.

Resolution? I can deal with not being able to see in front of me.
Frame rate? Sure I prefer a higher frame rate but a lower one isn't a deal breaker.

But as soon as I see a blocky shadow? You better believe that's getting cranked up.

It was so bad I couldn't go to the movies until the first Spongebob film (even then it took some convincing.) It cost us a lot of money cause I'd always buy a ticket and immediately get too scared to go in.

Needless to say, I am no longer afraid of the movies I listed

Never left a movie angry, but as a kid I was deeply traumatized by basically every trailer that would show beforehand. I had a really bad streak where I recall getting scared of Lilo & Stitch, the live-action Grinch, and I think a movie called "Evolution," nearly all of them shown in a row

With how many lackluster ports and remasters get put out nowadays, yeah, I'd say so. Ultimately though, I think it's a bit futile unfortunately. Modern game engines abstract away too much for it to be useful unless you're on the backest of backend development

Being a teen is preferring the PS1 because it has every other game you'd ever want and then some.
