I am so tired of people calling their shitty, dimly lit bars Speakeasies.

If I can get into your bar by just walking into the front door of your establishment, then it isn't a Speakeasy. STOP CALLING IT THAT.

It kinda does create a tab-ception, but I find it easier to organize *where* my tabs go!

Tab groups in Google Chrome saves me some headache around this! But I still have *way* too many tab groups as well lol.

This convo sometimes becomes very America/Europe centred too. It’s very cost prohibitive to send to other parts of the world like AU or NZ let alone reshipping to send to another reviewer. Not everyone can afford to go to conventions.

You’re right! And admittedly, not something I have thought about.

It is why I wish this initial argument started as an actual conversation. I think there’s a lot to learn from both “sides” and it could benefit the hobby as a whole if we approached this more carefully.

Yeah, I’ve always covered shipping (at both tabletop companies I’ve worked at) and sent labels for whenever we need to or if a reviewer ask to forward on a copy!

But, yeah, there’s a lot of different things to think about here that I agree with you on. Lots of nuance that is hard to have on Bsky.

And to be clear, I think calling NPI unethical is hilarious.

I'm not 100% cool with the way that NPI went about this (I think there could've been a really cool chance to have a conversation because of course MM is going to get defensive in response to a screenshot like that) but it sounds like you have a bone to pick with NPI specifically. Not me.
