โ€œThere were no cervical cancer cases diagnosed in women aged <25 years in 2021 โ€“ the first time that this has occurred in data going back to 1982. This remarkable achievement is almost certainly due to the impact of HPV vaccination.โ€ From report.cervicalcancercontrol.org.au

It really is

Our son got his first dose of HPV vaccine when he was 9

Vaccinating boys & men has benefits for BOTH women (e.g., helping to reduce HPV transmission to female sexual partners) AND men (e.g., reducing the risk of oral, head & neck, penile, & anal cancers)

There's a big divide in how Americans are thinking about vaccines:
โ™ฆ๏ธ83% of Republicans don't want an updated COVID-19 vaccine.
๐Ÿ”ท64% of Democrats want to get or have already received an updated vaccine.

Newborns cannot get vaccinated for whooping cough until they are two months old.

So it is up to adults who plan to be around newborns to get those Tdap shotsโ€”and new parents need to encourage family members who plan to be around a newborn to get Tdap shots, too.

This is caused by adults not maintaining their pertussis (whooping cough) vaccines.

You should be getting a Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) vaccine every 10 years.

We have a baby coming in the family (my first grand nephew!), so my husband and I both got vaccinated this week.

I was recently due for for a tetanus update and they tried to give me one without pertussis and I noticed when I was signing the paperwork and had to specifically ask for the tdap vs the td only shot, so make sure you know what you're getting!

13 million seems rather little for a really hard problem.

Look, I'll take it on. We build AI models. We have tons of retrosynthetic expertise. We mess around with liquid handling robots.

But I wouldn't touch this for less than about 1.3 billion. This is a hard problem. Very, very, very hard.

DOGE no longer has โ€˜centralized leadershipโ€™ under White House tech team, personnel head says The team that was altered to house DOGE โ€” formerly the U.S. Digital Service โ€” is also still doing its own technology work across agencies.

The "DOGE is gone" articles are clickbait but this one gets it closer to the truth: DOGE is not gone, it just claims to have "no centralized leadership" anymore -- in other words, its leadership is hiding in an attempt to avoid blame.
