My wife and I have been married for 10 years today. As you can see, she hasn't aged at all, whereas I look 20 years older. I can therefore only assume I'm aging for both of us, like she's Dorian Gray and I'm the painting in the attic.

LA and California are actively revolting. Makes me proud I lived there for so long.

At the very least - the VERY least - I think it's worth talking about different ways to keep the "World" in Worldcon.

I've floated this idea before and still think it's doable if its done with the collaboration of a group experienced in hosting major liteeary events - like the brilliant folks that run the Ake Book and Arts Festival.

Since I made this post, I've been informed there's a bid for Rwanda? That's dope! Both should happen!

Lagos would make a brilliant WorldCon host Nigeria's vibrant SFF scene deserves this global spotlight. The logistics would be challenging but transformative.

So... we know there's been a lot of struggles getting Nigerians to WorldCon. Ekpeki was able to attend several and that's lovely. There are soooo many Nigerian Writers in SFF right now. We had WC in Chengdu and Glasgow. So.... WorldCon @ Lagos?
