Glad to hear it, and do feel free to reach out. I happen to be a native of Sweden from Stockholm (suburbs). And if you do get this going, please share where some of the key differences are, that may push us to consider that international volume.

The book is definitely focused on US universities though. We have chatted about a possible international volume but that would be in the ~*future*~

Ah, and @joednoonan.bsky.social , I see you’re in Sthlm, I’m happy to chat in English or svenska πŸ˜‚ I’ll be in Stockholm in May in fact…

Thank you for sharing! This would be great for a discussion group. There are 69 chapters, so we cover quite a bit of ground and the chapters are short and easy to digest, and you should encourage your department to buy some copies (but also free online). I’m happy to chat more!

A colleague of mine died this evening after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle. He was a month from retirement. Be careful out there folks, and hug your loved ones. πŸ˜”πŸŒΊ

LOL this isn’t just a stupid theory of college students but it’s a stupid theory of people. NO ONE thinks what other people tell them to. That’s not how humans work.

I'm the other way...I have a calendar reminder set to update my CV every. single. month. Totally over the top, and probably makes it look like I'm trying to leave or do something constantly, but I just like to write down what I've accomplished for myself.

On Monday, I worked outside, in short sleeves. Today, we got several inches of snow. That’s normal right?

They loved it, and we had a great conversation.
I posted it just before class was starting, and one student said they weren't sure about coming to class today (mid-semester dread + down pour rain), but that the meme made them change their mind....

Covering vote choice/who wins elections in Politics of Inequality in class today- gonna ask them to explain the meme!

Sure, that makes sense, and I can relate (just not country or folk, that's where I draw my line).
I never imagined taking my five-year-old to a concert, but it was really great. Her favorite band, outdoors, 7pm on a Sat, not far from home, headphones, and light enough to sit on my shoulders.

πŸ˜† I am a big fan for sure! That said, I actually listen to a wide variety of music, including rap and late 90's pop (bc nostalgia). Rock and metal are definitely my go-to though. I've never seen SoD in concert though- very cool! Most recent was Halestorm, with Linnea
