My nightmare is doing this on one of my tubeless setups, mostly due to the horrific mess it would make

One fun thing about getting laid off on an earnings call day is you get to hear your former company’s slimeball CEO say all of their problems are solved because you (and a bunch of other people) no longer work there and watch the stock temporarily go up because some idiot investors agree

Determined to not make that mistake again, every single large round of layoffs always happened on public earnings call days. This included the one that got me. The first public earnings call at my new job is tomorrow and I still have that reflexive nervous association. Will be awhile until I don’t.

At my last job they once did an earnings call which said that they would save a bunch of money by laying people off and they didn’t actually do it beforehand, so everybody justifiably freaked out and stopped working until the layoffs happened.

A fun thing about my work history is that I’m now afraid of earnings calls
