A fun beverage and electronic music are the foundations on which any work must be built. The real game changer is actually that I can make a great iced matcha latte at home now.

After years and years of gathering evidence to support this theory I've been forced to conclude that I always, always, always concentrate better on my work when I've got a fun beverage.

This series has an unparalleled ability to melt my brain. My plans got cancelled today so I cleaned and put accessories on my new bike and then sat down to play monster hunter, then 8 hours later I realised I hadn't moved at all since then.

I'm not quite doing the numbers I did when World came out, but I only started Monster Hunter Wilds 4 days ago and I've played it for 25 hours so far.

What a fantastic month I'm having for literature though. I loved Titus Groan almost indescribably and I love Murakami just as much, for almost perfectly opposite reasons. I'm so glad I'm reading a lot again, this is the whole point of being alive.

This contrasts sharply with the last book I finished, Titus Groan, which was about 350 pages but with language so dense and inaccessible it took me a month and a half of extremely regular reading to get through. I've read 300 pages of Murakami just this evening.

For me personally the feeling of reading a great Murakami book is unique. I find it almost impossible to stop reading, I had to take a break halfway through my evening to go to my dance class and I couldn't wait to get home and read some more.

I can't figure out whether the latest Murakami novel is really, really good, or if it's blowing my mind simply because I haven't read a Murakami book for a few years. I think it's probably both. (I haven't finished it yet so there's still a chance he'll ruin it.)

Celebrating Twin Peaks day by starting my rewatch of The Return. I didn't love it when it aired and never finished it. I'm going to love it all this time.

I have a severe problem with my brain and one of the ways it manifests is that every time I think about Mob from MP100 I nearly cry in real life.

I felt my brain getting stale a few months ago so I've been doing a lot of reading. Currently reading a Borges short story and I've had to look up definitions of five words on the first page so far, this is more fucking like it.
