My linkedin is filled with mediocre professionals touting AI as if it will elevate them. But it's a trap and ultimately will chain you to the worst situation possible . A digital serfdom where they don't possess the skills or independence to escape from.

I am going to have to trademark "AI-gen is a mediocrity trap".

Using it prevents you from reaching mastery cuz you aren't exercising deep skills.

If you are a master you might lose those skills cuz you outsourced too much.

Either way the end result is a hyper efficient mediocrity trap.

Somehow Star Wars is at its finest when you're not focusing on space wizards with laser words that go zzzzh zzzzzh zzzzzzzh.

According to Insider Gaming, a Star Wars Outlaws sequel project was abandoned by Ubisoft before it even entered production. Unsurprisingly, but what a shame, as this game was the beginning of a different take on the galaxy far, far away.

So I won't be running into Aphra (my hope for a sequel). 😭

Just three planes. Solidify and a single array to give illusion of depth. Other than that, it's a baked set of maps (including alpha). Nice trick for props that'll be viewed primarily from one angle. For example, keys on a table won't be seen close from the side. #b3d

At any other time in the history of computers, people would get very upset about being told by an application that it's doing something for you only for it to be actively lying to you, yet anytime it gets brought up with AI people go "yeah it does that", YET STILL USES IT FOR EVERYTHING.
