Our CEO @amyspitalnick.bsky.social on @cnnipr.bsky.social with @biannagolodryga.bsky.social: “Your Jewish friends and neighbors are tired.”
Yesterday in Michigan, we were close to 140 preschoolers being the victims of a synagogue attack. Jewish communities deserve to have that fear taken seriously.
Our response to the news from Temple Israel in Michigan:
The SAVE Act would make voting harder for millions, fueling disinformation & extremism at the expense of the rights of millions of Americans.
Don’t let Congress silence your voice.

More than 1,100 American Jewish clergy are speaking out in support of refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants.
JCPA is proud to amplify this effort — including our own Rabba Rori Picker Neiss in this video — rooted in the Jewish value of welcoming the stranger.
As threats to our communities & our democracy grow, JCPA’s work is more urgent than ever. From fighting mass deportations & rising hate to protecting civil rights, we’re mobilizing the Jewish community in defense of our values & safety.

Congress is considering new funding for ICE & CBP — even as militarized enforcement puts lives at risk and undermines civil rights. Tell Congress: No new ICE funding without justice & accountability.

We should ask why these members of Congress - Ogles, Randy Fine, and others - are so emboldened to promote the most vile, blatant Islamophobia. We all have an obligation to name this for what it is.
Rep. Andy Ogles tweeted that “Muslims don’t belong in American society.”
When members of Congress feel emboldened to engage in blatant Islamophobia and hate, it must be called out. Anti-Muslim bigotry has no place in our politics, our country, or our society.

Their legacy reminds us: the work of protecting democracy has always been collective — and it is far from finished.
This #WomensHistoryMonth, we honor generations of Jewish women who helped build a more inclusive American democracy.
From the labor movement to the courts, Congress, and today’s fight against extremism, their leadership shaped the democratic values we defend.
Our statement on Kristi Noem’s departure from the Department of Homeland Security:
JCPA wishes our Hindu friends and neighbors a Holi filled with love, laughter, and colors as vibrant as your spirits. May this festival bring joy, prosperity, and endless celebrations!

Reports indicate the Austin shooter posted antisemitic, misogynistic, and anti-Christian rhetoric online — another reminder of how hate and extremist conspiracies can fuel real-world violence.
Military leaders telling our troops that war with Iran is about the “imminent return of Jesus Christ” is a blatant violation of the separation of church & state — advancing division, violence, & extreme Christian nationalism that only erode our democracy.

We wish you a joyous & meaningful Purim — a holiday that reminds us that each of us is capable of standing up for Jewish values & safety, just like Queen Esther.
This Purim, we pray to see a day when all people can live free from violence, tyranny, & fear. Chag Purim Sameach.
🎙️Fresh off the stage!
Our CEO @amyspitalnick.bsky.social joined Rabbi David Saperstein, @maya4rights.bsky.social, & Rev. Malcolm Byrd at @jstreetdotorg.bsky.social's convention for a conversation on Jewish-Black solidarity & how our communities can work together to protect our safety & democracy.
May our leaders have the wisdom and strength necessary to advance a world in which Israelis, Iranians, Palestinians, and all people across the region can live free from violence, tyranny, and fear.
At a recent San Francisco political event, chants of “tax the rich” turned into “tax the Jews.”
As our CEO said: “What does antisemitism look like? This.” Hate & extremism masquerading as progressive politics undermines justice, safety, & democracy.

Scapegoating immigrants, normalizing conspiracies, and advancing dehumanizing rhetoric and policies makes all of us less safe.
In his State of the Union, Pres. Trump claimed that “importing [immigrant] cultures” threatens America — again echoing the xenophobic, racist, antisemitic Great Replacement lie that has fueled deadly violence in Pittsburgh, Buffalo, El Paso, and Charlottesville.
Just before our first-ever West Coast Summit, our CEO @amyspitalnick.bsky.social spoke with @jewishsf.bsky.social about the hard work of coalition-building, how Jewish safety is inseparable from our democracy, & why we need to be engaged all over the country.
Read the interview:
At the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, CEO @amyspitalnick.bsky.social warned that antisemitism’s conspiratorial nature makes it a wedge across the ideological spectrum. These same conspiracies harm many communities — making the fight against antisemitism vital to the broader fight against all hate.
We’re stuck in a dangerous feedback loop: Antisemitism is a conspiracy theory that undermines democracy. And as democratic norms erode, they create the conditions for antisemitism to flourish.
Tomorrow would have been Rep. John Lewis’ 86th birthday — a fearless champion for justice and voting rights. As voter suppression efforts expand, his legacy calls us to act. Honor his life: urge Congress to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act act.jewishpublicaffairs.org/a/urge-membe...
This week, we convened Jewish community relations leaders from across the west for our inaugural West Coast Summit. We're leaving inspired and recommitted to the crucial work of coalition-building at this critical moment for the Jewish community and our democracy.
Testifying today at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, JCPA CEO @amyspitalnick.bsky.social made clear: undermining civil rights and democratic norms makes Jews — and all communities — less safe. We need real action to counter antisemitism and protect our inclusive democracy.
On this day in 1942, EO 9066 ordered the internment of Japanese Americans. When leaders justify mass detention or target communities in the name of “security,” we should recognize the pattern. Normalizing extremism undermines democracy. We must choose a different path.
Randy Fine’s vile bigotry has no place in our government.
His colleagues should have the basic decency to hold him accountable.
Today we mark the yahrzeit of Arnold Aronson, founding executive leader of JCPA and a founder of @civilrightsorg.bsky.social. A lifelong civil rights champion, he believed Jewish safety is inseparable from justice for all. May his memory be a blessing.
With the rest of the civil rights community, JCPA mourns the passing of the Rev. Jesse Jackson. Read our full statement.
