If we just got on and built some wind farms and solar fields we could dispense with all of this nonsense.

Every time he says ‘Governor Carney’ more families cancel Orlando. More gamblers cancel Vegas. More hikers cancel Colorado. More theatre people cancel New York. More country fans cancel Nashville. And we never come back. 🇨🇦

So true. I remember being at a friends place in my early 20”s. His Mom had made a huge spread of food and I took some of everything to be polite. I realized I took liver, which is not my favourite so I ate it very quickly. She was SO PLEASED I liked it, she put 2 more scoops on my plate. 😭

Text messages reading "We are doing laundry in advance of water restrictions tomorrow!" "Water restrictions again?"

I know it's an uphill battle for @calgary.ca to get information out to people these days. But it feels like there was a missed opportunity letting people know that a month of PLANNED water restrictions starts TOMORROW, witnessed by this text exchange I just had with a well-informed #yyc resident

Quietly, calmly and forensically, BBC just dismantled the Trump communications shitshow on Iran.

No hyperbole, just laying out an unprecedented military, diplomatic and reputational shambles.

Worth a watch.

If I've got this right, #yyc has got some water restrictions coming up on March 9. Planned restrictions, which means we have time to prepare! So pretty soon we're going to start seeing some messaging from @calgary.ca to help citizens get ready, right? @jeromyyyc.bsky.social @daorcey.bsky.social

Canada Feeds the Crocodile This morning, I keep thinking about Winston Churchill, and the powerful allegory he used to warn that the appeaser is the man who feeds others to the crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.

PM Carney has forgotten the story of the crocodile.
The appeaser supports feeding others to the crocodile in the hope that the crocodile will eat them last.
We are watching horrific violence in the Middle East.
Canada cannot stand with the crocodiles.

So apparently, every other country in the world managed to issue statements that weren't cheerleading US chaos and destabilization except Canada. No, our PM decided to pat Trump on the head for needlessly starting a war. #cdnpoli

On the eve of the 4th anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war, we raise the Ukrainian flag at our headquarters.

So it can fly proudly at the heart of our Union, where it belongs.

One day Ukraine will be safe.

Ukraine will be free.

Ukraine will be part of our European family.

Mandy Patinkin said Netanyahu is dangerous for Jews globally and he’s worse than Hitler.

“How could it be done to you and your ancestors, and you turn around and do it to someone else?” Profoundly true.

Exclusive | OpenAI Employees Raised Alarms About Canada Shooting Suspect Months Ago The ChatGPT maker opted against informing Canadian authorities about Jesse Van Rootselaar’s descriptions of violence last June.

Absolutely wild. WSJ reporting that some OpenAI staffers thought the Tumbler Ridge shooter's use of ChatGPT raised the potential of real world violence but leadership decided not to alert RCMP. www.wsj.com/us-news/law/...

This is also a mesterclass in wasting public funds. We already know that ambiguous referendum questions will be tossed by the Supreme Court, so it is an exercise is sowing devision, and wasting money.

#HealthCanada I think we should do the same. I can still remember images on the news of 4 ppl burning to death on the 401 trapped in a Tesla. There are many other examples but that one is burned in my memory. 😢

Alberta UCP caucus has 'no business' signing separation vote petition: former premier | CBC News Former Alberta premier Jason Kenney says the governing United Conservative Party caucus has "no business" signing a petition to force a vote on the province quitting Canada.

Can't believe I am 100% in agreement with Kenney

"If these folks really hate Canada and they really adore the United States and [President] Donald Trump, then there's a border crossing or two that they can take tomorrow," Kenney said.

I feel like Trevor Noah was egging him on with his Grammy jokes Yesterday. However I am still continuously disappointed that so little has been done on this file. Just proves how the rich and wealthy don’t play by the same rules.

Yes, Danielle Smith is a separatist Alberta's premier says she supports "a sovereign Alberta within a united Canada." Her actions tell a much different story — one that makes her position on the issue impossible to ignore.

She keeps getting chances to show some loyalty to Canada -- and keeps turning them away in order to defend Alberta separatists and their cause.

It's who she is. It's time we all started saying it. #cdnpoli #abpoli

Conservative leadership vote 2026 results live: Poilievre easily passes leadership test, receives 87.4 per cent support Delegates are gathering in Calgary for the Conservative party’s national convention and Pierre Poilievre’s leadership review.

So happy to see PP pass the leadership review. To me, this guarantees a liberal majority in the next election and hopefully a re-invigoration of the fed NDP. While 87% of CPC delegates might like this guy, a majority of Canadians find his divisive tone vile.
