I think one of the more unfortunate consequences to creators being more interactive with fans is that a lot of fans/fandoms normalized this idea that creators have to explain/validate every headcanon they have.

if you herald yourself as an all-knowing fandom god yet you're so insecure you can't stand it when someone you were supposedly on amicable terms with disagrees with you then i'm not sure how trustworthy your opinions you present as straight up facts can truly be tbh
