i think they did a like filler arc later on that spent longer but also added a bunch of other bullshit

when i was like 11 or w/e i was watching shippuden as it was airing like at 2 am when subs were barely out. and that fight is legit when i stopped watching bc i couldnt fucking take it. in 1 ep naruto walked literally 5 feet toward orochimaru and i was like ok im done 💔 n dropped it for TEN YEARS

same order for me + i do find it interesting bc i think trigun hits so many emotional / narrative beats successfully that uh, naruto and other later shounen do not. im like ohhhh they were reheating its nachos.. (i like when things respond to other things but i like them to improve 😔)
