Not only giving up her seat, but to give it up just one year before she’s eligible for a pension!
Winning statewide is also very, very different than running for a state house seat. I’m all for being passionate about our preferred candidates, but let’s not move goal posts for women
Jasmine Crockett to make a “special announcement” at 4:30pm Monday in Dallas, coinciding with the filing deadline for candidates in Texas.
The Congresswoman has been very seriously contemplating a Senate run.
And before you come for me: There’s not a poll, internal or public, that shows them winning if she enters. If there was, they’d have released it.
Yes, I’ve seen the CNN clip. Jasmine Crockett said what she’s been saying: She will make a decision by Thanksgiving. An announcement will NOT come until December 8.
If I was Talarico or Allred, I’d be nervous and looking at my options to drop or switch to another race.
Hot take: Lloyd Doggett should still retire. That district has a very full bench of Democrats. It’s time to pass the baton.
And his money. Definitely pass the campaign cash.
MASSIVE win in Texas! As you share about Texas’ racially gerrymandered map being blocked, please try to share from Texas media and creators. Even if SCOTUS upholds it, we’ve still got work ahead. Building our creator ecosystem is key to winning up and down the ballot in 2026
Ted Cruz spotted at the Puerto Vallarta airport after voting to allow himself to sue the DOJ for potentially millions of dollars of your tax money
Joaquin Castro at TribFest says he has NOT made a final decision regarding entering the Attorney General race in Texas
Probably overcooking brisket somewhere
Senate Democrats are considering a “deal” to agree to a *vote* to extend the ACA subsidies in December. Not a guarantee of passage and remember: we did this dance in March. Dems caved then because Republicans promised they would have addressed healthcare by now. They haven’t.
This is not a deal
This is like when I was in college and asked my mom for money for a flat tire the same week I got a tattoo. But I was 18, not the president of the United States who should their priorities together
All 17 Constitutional amendments in Texas are set to pass. To get on the ballot, they needed 2/3 support in the House, meaning at least 12 Democrats to support.
Serious conversations are needed about how nearly half of these even made it onto the ballot. Time to start holding our own accountable
Can y’all quit giving Abbott attention for his idiot comments about tarriffs on New Yorkers? That’s not a thing he can do. He knows it. He literally just pulled it out of his ass for PR that you’re giving him 🤦🏻♀️
Neither major Democratic Senate candidate in Texas has a single video up about SNAP or where Texans can find resources or donate. Colin Allred at least has a few posts on X about it, but only politicos will see it.
Both campaigns need a serious recalibration.
Can we sue the manufacturer of whatever it was Ken Paxton’s mom took?
Thinking of all the moms who are going to pretend they aren’t hungry in a week when SNAP runs out.
I remember.
Absolutely never, but I’ll keep working to elect Dems up and down the ballot
Tomorrow is Election Day for Howdy Jr. Send him all the good luck!
The Attorney General is the chief law enforcement officer.
If anyone knows where to pick up our No Kings checks, please let me know!
No Kings in Dallas, just Moms who are tired of this sh*t!
Ran into Ted Cruz at the airport and called him out for his BS lies and shutting the government down
Republicans chose this path, but are incapable of governing and shut the government down.
Republicans could have passed an actual budget with a simple majority through reconciliation. They didn’t have the votes within their own party to pass their own legislation, which is why Republicans *chose* a CR which *requires* them to negotiate with the minority party 🧵

Ted Cruz and other officials at a press conference in Dallas after a shooting at an ICE facility all refused to name the victims as being detainees. All “thoughts and prayers” were instead directed at ICE agents.
I feel like I am going crazy
On a night that we see one of the biggest attacks on freedom of speech, you’d have no idea there were any Democrats running for Texas Attorney General
